This is in 2.20 Beta 5.

1. Menu "File->Open" open NC file called "TOP text.NC".
2. Edit the file but do not save it.
3. Menu "File->New" creates an Untitled file window.
4. Menu "File->Open" open an NC file called "MY TEXT.NC".
5. NC Plot creates a SECOND "untitled" window and opens "MY TEXT" over the top of your unsaved "TOP TEXT", causing a loss of work.

If it matters, I have assigned the keyboard command "Ctrl-W" to close the current window.
This is a standard control code in most Windows applications.
I have also assigned the keyboard command "Alt-V" top open the variable display window.

Something weird is happening with window focus which may be related. When I hit "Ctrl-W" the current window closes and then the focus vibrates back and forth between two of the remaining windows for a couple of seconds before it settles on one of them.

I am running Vista.

Erik,

Thanks for the reports. I've had a couple of strange things happen with the open files, but nothing like you describe. I will be looking at this more closely before v2.20 gets released so if you come across any more reproduceable behaviors like this let me know.

Thanks,
Scott
