Using dxf files

Postby greggb » Thu May 13, 2010 3:26 pm

Hello, I am a new user after using the free version for a while. I have to ask about using a dxf file to compare against an already created program. I want to use this to check for revisions and missing holes on very large flat parts. Does anyone know is this is possible? It appears the dxf function is only for creating NC code.
Thanks in advance
Gregg

Hi Gregg,

In the Machine Configuration under the Viewport Settings page there is a setting called "Path to reference DXF drawing". If browse for a DXF here it will be loaded and displayed as a background to your backplot.

Thanks,
Scott
