Sorry for such an dumb questiuon, but I am a member of a PlasmaCam board that recently discovered STICK FONT. PlasmaCam is supposed to be able to import .dxf files and in fact I find it does so in just about every case.

However, when we save a STICK FONT file as a G code it bears the ending .nc which PlasmaCam doesn't read.

Boy this is probably so basic it'll blow your mind, but how can we get the .nc files to be .dxf or .bmp???

Hi Bob,

The Stick Font program will only save it's output as G-Code. You can give it whatever extension you want, but it will still be G-Code. There are some utilities out there that will convert G-Code to a DXF file, including NCPlot v2. If you do a search at www.cnczone.com I think you will even find a free one.

Thanks,
Scott
